It has been a week since I last updated my blog, as I'm pretty occupied with work, learning Japanese and going out during the weekends. Oh well. I will be updating and writing soon about the places I've been to and exploring Japan.
I've started out this journey towards financial freedom this year in January 2017. As mentioned earlier in my first blog post, my initial plan for 2017 is to have a portfolio and warchest amount totaling $5,475 (derived from allocating $15 aside per day x 365). I'd have to say that this amount is nothing impressive and can be easily earned in the future.
Last Friday, I had a mini-shock while I'm looking through the portfolio updates sent by StocksCafe.
I've actually hit my targets that I've set for myself earlier this year!

So how did my portfolio perform? I'll usually update my portfolio at the beginning of each month. However, as this milestone of mine came in the middle of the month.. Here's a sneak peek into my current portfolio:
Earlier on when I've created this blog, I had a page about "Goals/Milestone". However, I've removed it as it has nothing on it. Today, I've re-published it here. In this page, I will be writing about my short term goals and upon hitting that milestone, I'll add a link to it.
Not to be happy first, I've revised my targets for this year, raising it slightly to an amount of $7,000 for this year in one of my other post too. I'm looking forward to it - My next update on my milestone.

Do not wait; the time will never be ‘just right.’

action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own
future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your
beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come
down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen...
yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.

Holisay in Japan :)
ReplyDeleteHi Desmond,
DeleteThanks :) It’s cold here it Japan now ... shivers.
Did you learn Japanese in Ikoma? I did that when I was younger and very much intrigued by stuff in Japan. Enjoy Japan.
ReplyDeleteHi B,
DeleteI actually “self-learned” Japanese back in Singapore. I was contemplating to join Ikoma previously due to the price tag. Now, in Japan, I’m having some lessons on Japanese language as well. Hopefully, I’ll be able to communicate fluently in Japanese when I’m back :p
